WASHINGTON DC — The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (also known as the 9-11 Commission) released its final report at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON DC — On June 16 at the National Transportation Safety Board Conference Center, the Commission heard from several of the federal government’s top law enforcement and intelligence experts on al Qaeda and the 9-11 plot. The hearing resumed on June 17, with the top military and civilian aviation officials testifying about their agencies’ responses to the 9-11 attacks.

NEW YORK, NY — The Commission heard from the current and former top-level officials in the fire, police, and emergency management departments of New York City, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Arlington County, Virginia. Secretary of Homeland Security Thomas J. Ridge and former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani also testified.
